The aim is to develop a freight transport business model that allows parcels to be transported from land to ships in an optimal and efficient way using an autonomous drone.

"The implementation of this technology in the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife "will represent a revolution compared to the traditional system of transporting this type of goods".

Of the 79 initial submissions, the committee has evaluated 65 projects that promote the achievement of solutions in areas of the port-logistics community such as logistics efficiency, environmental sustainability and energy, and safety and security.

"The Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will have a drone transport service for light goods from the port facility to vessels in the anchorage, which "will save time, costs and risks, as well as being a CO2 emission-free service"".

"The Association of Consignees and Stevedores of Ships of Las Palmas (Asocelpa) is committed to the use of drones for the transport of light goods and documentation within the Port of La Luz and Las Palmas [...] the exhibition, which will last approximately forty minutes, will be presented by the entity Airmedia 360, whose project is included in the Plan for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship".

"The first prototype of this drone, the Stratos HL model manufactured by Air Media 360, has made its first flight in the port of La Luz, flying 500 metres away from the dock. The aircraft incorporates innovative technology so that this device is very safe and meets all the quality standards to be able to fly in port and airport areas".

"In collaboration with Airmedia 360, Asocelpa was a direct witness to a real flight demonstration with a 2-metre drone in the Port of Las Palmas. The device, which carried a payload of 13 kilos, carried out several manual and automatic take-off and landing manoeuvres, reaching a maximum distance of 500 metres from the Africa dock and reaching speeds of up to 50 km/hour".
